What’s the Best Way to Start a Golf-Fitness Program?
Whether you’re a seasoned member of the CardioGolf® Online Studio or considering joining us for the first time, this week’s plan is designed to help you improve your golf game while prioritizing your fitness. For you newer members, you may be eager to start a golf-fitness program, but are unsure of how or where to start.
Firstly, the key to developing a golf-fitness program, to fit your particular needs, is to find out what golf-related restrictions, if any, your body has.
Secondly, performing a golf-fitness screen can help you give you a starting point and determine what exercises you should be performing to maximize your time and effort.
Thirdly, consider building your own golf-performance team. Build a team that can address your physical needs.
A ‘Golf-Fitness’ assessment can identify if you functionally ready to undertake a golf-specific conditioning program, in addition to recognizing potential muscular imbalances and dysfunctional movement patterns that may negatively affect golf swing mechanics and increase your risk of developing overuse or impact-related injuries.
If you are new to CardioGolf® or have been doing it for a while, it is good to assess your fitness level to:
1) determine what exercises are best for you if you are a beginner.
And 2) taking an assessment as a seasoned fitness participant can determine your progress and let you know where you still need improvement.
